The 3.5-star Castle Resort's Waikiki Shore
is the only beach front condo on Waikiki
Beach. Featuring Studios, One and Two
Bedroom suites, this lovely condominium is
ideally located. It is just next door to
Fort DeRussy Park and one block from
bustling Kalakaua Avenue and the new Waikiki
Beach Walk area providing a myriad of
shopping and dining options within easy
walking distance. Upon arrival, guests
receive a Royal Value Coupon Booklet with
hundreds of dollars in savings on dining,
shopping and activities. There is a two
night minimum stay required year round.
Property amenities include parking (fee),
secured entry gate and elevators, Internet
Cafe (fee), travel desk, Nail Salon, apparel
shop, snack shop and gift shop.
Fort DeRussy was a former Army Post that was
turned into an R&R (Rest and Relaxation)
Center for the military. The military's Hale
Koa Hotel was built on part of the land with
almost all the rest transformed into a
beautiful park, which is open to the public.
There is a beautiful wide beach for sunning
and swimming and perfectly manicured lawns
throughout the property, huge trees and many
picnic areas, all with grills and picnic
tables and is just steps away from the
Waikiki Shore.
There is no on-site restaurant at the
Waikiki Shore, but on the other side of the
condo from the park is the Outrigger Reef on
the Beach and in front, Waikiki Beach. The
Outrigger is a great place for dining with
their casual Shorebird Beach Restaurant &
Beach Bar where you can grill your own
entree at a communal grill or the more
upscale Ocean House, recently refurbished,
serving really good food, beautiful décor
and a fantastic view.
The condo is located at the end of the new,
multi-million dollar transformation of
Lewers and Beachwalk Roads, which has
created the Waikiki Beach Walk, one of the
most happening spots in all of Waikiki. With
restaurants such as the renowned Ruth's
Chris Steak House, the award-winning
Hawaiian Fusion Cuisine from renowned chef,
Roy Yamaguchi at his Roy's Restaurant and
the newest star attraction, Nobu. More
casual is The Yard House Restaurant, once
known for its vast beer selection, but now
also well known for its high quality food,
for pizza and great deli sandwiches try out
Giovanni Pastrami, or the Holokai Grill with
large servings in a casual atmosphere at
reasonable prices. |
