The 4.5-Star JW Marriott Ihilani Resort and
Spa features every luxurious amenity you
could ever wish for, from elegant
surroundings to views that take your breath
away. Located in Ko Olina, this AAA 5-star
resort is situated on a beautiful large
lagoon with a white sand beach and seven
smaller lagoons that were created along the
shoreline. It is an ideal spot for swimming
and to just stroll along. Or you can simply
sit back and watch as the sun slowly sinks
into the Pacific, the sky turns shades of
pink and purple and the warm trade winds
rustle the leaves of the palms.
The resort has five restaurants and lounges,
including the award-winning Azul, open for
dinner only. Featuring international fare,
this elegant signature restaurant has a
wonderful menu and an extensive wine list,
ensuring a truly culinary experience to
remember. Naupaka Terrace overlooks the pool
and is the Ihilani's informal all-day
restaurant featuring contemporary island
cuisine and a Saturday Night Seafood Buffet.
Adjoining a peaceful Japanese garden, Ushio-Tei
serves traditional Japanese fare including
sashimi and sushi.
The Poolside Grill is a casual option for
light fare and snacks while enjoying the
Hawaiian sunshine, open for lunch. Hokulea
Lounge is quite eclectic with great island
appetizers and is the perfect place to sip
on a Mai Tai or Blue Hawaii. And if you want
to be really romantic, you can always order
Lanai Dining, either on your own room lanai
or on the resort's lagoon lawn with a room
service attendant serving your menu
selections.
Property amenities include the Ihilani Spa,
a full service spa which offers everything
from various styles of massages to facial
and body services and more. For only $20 a
day, a guest has full use of their
Relaxation Lounges, including steam, sauna,
needle shower, Roman pool, spa wardrobe and
more.
Additional property amenities include
parking (fee), four swimming lagoons, a pool
and whirlpool and the award winning 18-hole
Ted Robinson championship Golf Course. With
the course's waterfalls, shimmering pools
and location it's no wonder Golf Digest
honored it as one of the top resort courses
in the U.S. There are three Kramer-surfaced
tennis courts and three Plexipace courts,
all with beautiful ocean and mountain views.
There is both a Teens Club (fee) that hosts
a series of sessions to educate pre-teens
and teens on health and wellness in a fun
and social way and the Kids Program (fee)
for children between five and 12 years old.
Offered daily in both half-day and full day
formats, activities include treasure hunts,
dancing, sports, crafts and more.
This is a fabulous resort that gets great
reviews and many return visitors. While it
might be outside Waikiki, for those who are
looking for a luxurious, relaxing vacation
for time to think, talk and dream, the JW
Marriott would be hard to top. |
