OVERVIEW |
|
| |
|
|
| |
The 4-star Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach
Resort & Spa is a multi-award winning
property located on 22 oceanfront acres that
includes 5 guest towers, 5 pools, 20
restaurants, cafes and lounges, a two-story,
33,000 sq. ft. Spa, beautiful art work
including magnificent sculptures and of
course, what would a village in the tropics
be like without a variety of parrots,
African Red Winged Flamingos, swans, Koi
(carp), turtles and even Black-Footed
Penguins. Add in an open-air lobby looking
out to the ocean and beautiful gardens
showcasing flora from around the world
including those indigenous to Hawaii, you
might feel you have just landed in paradise
instead of simply a hotel.
The 10,000 sq.ft. Super Pool is the largest
in Waikiki with one end a stage with lava
rocks, gentle waterfalls and lush greenery.
Right next to the Super Pool is a tiered
Keiki (children's) Pool, with more tropical
plants. Whether you're swimming or
sunbathing at the pool, you'll have a great
view of the beach and ocean. The Tapa Pool
is located between the Tapa and Diamond Head
Tower in a setting of tropical greenery,
perfect for an evening swim. The Kalia Tower
Pool is for the exclusive use of Kalia Tower
guests and Mandara Spa clients. The mosaic
tiled infinity pool has a pool deck and
whirlpool.
With the Hilton Hawaiian Villages' location
on such a beautiful wide beach, water
activities are highlighted including a
fantastic complimentary 30 minute session
called "Surfing 101" for hotel guests only.
Well worth attending if you want to surf
while in Hawaii. There are all sorts of
water craft and beach equipment to rent at
reasonable prices including kayaks, boogie
and surf boards. Animal lovers will enjoy
the daily wildlife Penguin and Turtle
feedings that take place during the week.
For children the Rainbow Express Keiki Club,
shares Hawaii's rich culture through fun and
games for children 5 to 12 years for both
full or half-day programs.
The Hilton Hawaiian Village is very popular
among residents, many of whom watch the
fireworks each Friday night from the beach.
By the Super Pool, the Aloha Friday King's
Jubilee & Fireworks show takes place, a
beautiful Polynesian revue and the fireworks
show. It's a tribute to King David Kalakaua
and features dance and music. Guests can
pre-purchase tickets for poolside seating
which includes one standard cocktail
beverage. There is entertainment throughout
the Village, particularly at the Tapa Bar.
Not quite entertainment, but definitely
entertaining in a relaxing way is the full
service Mandara Spa, the largest spa in
Waikiki offering spa treatments
incorporating Asian, Western, Hawaiian,
European and Polynesian beauty and
relaxation concepts. The spa also features a
state-of-the-art Cardiovascular Fitness
Center open to all guest for a nominal fee.
Also check out the optional Paradise Pass,
with amenities and specials at a value of
$100 per day.
There are over 20 different restaurants,
cafes and lounges on the property, including
the multi-award winning Bali by the Seaź,
the elegant oceanfront restaurant that
features Pacific Rim cuisine using the
freshest island ingredients. If you've never
tried teppenyaki, visit Benihana, not only
for a great meal around the hibachi table,
but also great entertainment from the chefs.
Add in Sergio's Italian Table and the
Village Steak & Seafood Restaurant and you
have great choices. Casual dining ranges
from CJ's New York Style Delicatessen,
Onolicious Dogs, Tapa' Cafe for casual
poolside dining, Tropics Bar & Beach Cafe, a
very popular place for burgers, pizzas and
cocktails, an ice cream store, pizza place,
Starbucks, Hatsuhana Japanese Restaurant and
even a Japanese noodle shop. And the Village
has recently brought back their wonderful
Luau, a not-to-be-missed chance to have a
delightful evening. |
