| |
Located in the heart of Waikiki, the
2.5-star OHANAź Waikiki Malia is a
family-friendly budget hotel that offers a
central location, basic rooms and a caring
staff. The hotel features an incredible
package of complimentary amenities including
high speed internet access, local and long
distance phone calls to U.S. & Canada (first
15 minutes free), in-room safe, in-room
coffee daily, local newspaper, digital
pagers for early check-in guests and passes
for all guests in the room for up to 5 days,
on the Waikiki Trolley's Pink Line
throughout Waikiki and to Ala Moana Shopping
Center. Upon check-in, guests also receive
an Exclusively for You Coupon Booklet, which
contains great savings on dining,
entertainment and shopping.
While there is no swimming pool on site,
guests can use the pools at any other OHANA
hotel, such as the OHANA East and OHANA
Waikiki West, which are a short walk from
the Malia. There is a tennis court, located
at the top of the building where you can not
only play tennis, but enjoy panoramic views
of Waikiki. The hotel is only about a 5
minute walk to Waikiki Beach, where you can
rent boogie boards, surf boards and kayaks,
as well as sign up for lessons.
The award-winning The Bus goes past the
hotel and is convenient for trips to Ala
Moana Center, Ward Center, Downtown
Honolulu, Chinatown, the Stadium swap meet,
the Arizona Memorial and basically any place
you want to go on the island, including
Hanauma Bay, famous for its living coral
reefs and snorkeling. Walk toward Diamond
Head and you'll discover Kapiolani Park,
home to the Honolulu Zoo, the Bandstand that
features various concerts on most weekends
and the Honolulu Aquarium.
Heading in the same direction on Kalakaua
Avenue you'll also find some pretty good
restaurants, including The Cheesecake
Factory, Duke's, Cheeseburger in Paradise.
Tiki's Grill & Bar and around the corner
right before the park, the award-winning
Teddy's Bigger Burgers.
In Hawaiian, OHANA means family and family
is important to the locally-owned Outrigger/OHANA
chain. Whether you are in a luxury Outrigger
property or a budget OHANA property, you
receive the same warm service from the
staff, which is well-known for their
friendliness and Aloha spirit. So if you
want a basic, clean room at extremely
reasonable prices, check out the OHANA
Waikiki Malia. |
