The 4-star Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach is
considered the flagship hotel of the well
known, family-owned Outrigger chain of
hotels. With its fantastic location on
Waikiki Beach, this deluxe hotel is
beautifully maintained and staffed,
featuring partial or full ocean views from
every room. The large lobby includes a
full-size old koa wood outrigger canoe and
lovely Hawaiian art and is the spot for
almost daily activities , including
storytelling and Hawaiian craft workshops.
When checking in, guests receive a packet of
three postcards, one packet per room.
Postcards From Paradise will be mailed by
the Outrigger at no cost to anywhere in the
world. Additional postcards may be purchased
at the Reception Desk, which also will be
mailed at no cost. Guests also receive an
Exclusively for You Coupon Booklet, which
contains great savings on dining,
entertainment and shopping.
You can hang out at the swimming pool, sip a
Mai Tai or two from the pool bar or spend
time in the whirlpool. Or, you can take a
few more steps and be on the beach, one of
the most famous in the world. For a fee, you
can learn to surf, take an outrigger canoe
ride or a catamaran cruise or even have a
beach side massage under a thatched roof.
You can loll, you can swim, you can people
watch, you can stroll - you can do almost
anything you want because you're on vacation
and you're staying at a great hotel that
allows you so many options of what to do.
The hotel opened a new spa last year, called
the Waikiki Plantation Spa. Located on the
penthouse level of the resort, the spa
features massages of all types including
Hawaiian Lomi Lomi, Lava Rock, Swedish and
Couples to name a few. From tippy toe to top
of the head, the spa offers something
delightful to make you feel relaxed and
pampered including all types of facials,
body wraps, manicures and pedicures. A new
Fitness Center is also located on the
penthouse level featuring the latest in all
sorts of exercise machines.
Other property amenities include beach
services, business center with high speed
internet access (fee) and business
equipment, child care on request, laundry
facilities, complimentary newspaper in
lobby, complimentary wireless internet
access in lobby, meeting rooms and at the
swimming pool, valet parking only (fee),
Hospitality Room, laundry/dry cleaning
services, luggage storage, room service and
more. Every child 5 to 10 years of age is
given a FREE Island Explorer Kit at check-in
which includes: Friends of the Reef
Adventure Guide/Let's Explore Hawaii Guide,
backpack, sunglasses, pen and binoculars. A
minimum of 3 nights is required to receive
this.
The hotel is also host to some of the most
popular restaurants in the Waikiki area
including Duke's Canoe Club, located
oceanfront with great atmosphere, food and
entertainment. It's always jamming with a
mixed crowd of locals and visitors and a
great place to meet and make new friends.
They also are home to the well known Chuck's
Steak House and the newest addition, Hula
Grill Waikiki is packing them in with
oceanfront views, great food and atmosphere.
For entertainment, the Society of Seven, a
local musical group that has entertained
visitors and locals alike for years puts on
a show that combines a hilarious amount of
comedy with great music.

to walk down the street and check out the
zoo and aquarium, drive around the island to
the North Shore, hike to Manoa Falls, take
in a movie at Ward Center or the free movies
