The 4-Star Sheraton Waikiki Hotel has one of
Oahu's best locations, centrally located on
world famous Waikiki Beach, along a
half-mile crescent of golden sand. Over 80%
of the hotel's rooms offer unbelievably
beautiful panoramic views of the Pacific
Ocean, the lights of Waikiki, the Ko'olau
Mountains and Hawaii's most famous landmark,
Diamond Head. Guests are greeted with
friendly smiles and handshakes from hotel
managers, then presented with a fresh flower
lei and tropical beverage by Sheraton
Waikiki’s Ambassador of Aloha.
One of the most popular areas of the hotel
is the new $8 million Helumoa Playground
located between the Sheraton Waikiki and the
Royal Hawaii. With two fresh-water swimming
pools, a 23-foot high, 70-foot long water
slide, two 20 person Jacuzzis with wonderful
views of Waikiki Beach, interactive water
fountain for children it is a perfect spot
for family activities such as water slide
races, lei making, hula lessons and story
telling to mention a few. Pool goers also
have a choice of light, healthy fare at
RumFire's Diamond Head terrace area or can
order at poolside to enjoy "local style"
plate lunches and shave ice. The brand new
Spa Khakara and Sheraton Fitness Center by
Core offers eight treatment centers and
right next door is the Fitness Center by
Core offering state-of-the-art workout
equipment.
Other property amenities include nightly
poolside entertainment, laundry facilities,
twenty gift and specialty shops, business
center, self parking and valet (fees), Keiki
Aloha Program, video check-out, voice mail
message center and the Sheraton's Stay At
One, Dine At All program. The hotel also
hosts a weekly Sunday "dive-in" movie under
the stars poolside; on Monday, a Fire Knife
Show and from Tuesday to Saturday, Tahitian
Night is featured.
The hotel is often considered the center of
entertainment in the Waikiki area. With a
backdrop of Diamond Head, Waikiki's newest
hot spot is the oceanfront RumFire, offering
the largest selection of vintage rum in the
U.S., tapas-style cuisine, private fire pits
and a large terrace. It's a great place to
sip, dine and meet new friends. Then there
is the beautiful Twist at Hanohano featuring
fine dining from around the world and
spectacular views to the ocean and the
starlit nights. For casual dining The Ocean
Terrace features fresh seafood buffets and
classic island cuisine.
