OVERVIEW |
|
| |
|
|
| |
From the moment you arrive at the 4-Star
Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa, you can
feel that there's something special about
this particular Marriott. Here is a world
that is both refreshing and timeless with
warm and friendly service from people who
seem genuinely pleased to have you as a
guest. In the middle of busy Waikiki it is
an oasis of calm with it's more than five
acres of tropical greenery and lush
plantings - and just steps away from world
famous Waikiki Beach. The resort just
recently completed a $60 million renovation
of all their rooms and common areas and the
result has been well received by their many
guests who are repeat visitors.
The Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa has
won the U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency's Energy Star award for the 3rd year
in a row and has been recognized on
IgoUgo.com list of "10 Hotels Where Every
Day is Earth Day", quite an honor in itself.
Property amenities include two freshwater
heated swimming pools, a spa tub and the
beautiful Paul Brown's Spa Olakino & Salon,
featuring Hawaiian-influenced treatments.
Overlooking the beach, the views are
wonderful and the Spa is the perfect place
to enjoy pampering and total revitalization.
Other amenities include parking (fee), a
24-hour Fitness Center with the latest
aerobic and resistance training machines, a
shopping arcade with more than 20 shops, a
full service business center, hospitality
lounge, activity classes and Hawaiian
entertainment, concierge services and so
much more.
There are various dining options at the
resort, including the Kuhio Beach Grill,
offering casual dining for breakfast and
dinner featuring Pacific Rim cuisine and the
Moana Terrace which overlooks Waikiki Beach
offering open air dining, cocktails and
Hawaiian entertainment, open from late
morning to late evening. Arancino de Mare is
a charming indoor/outdoor Italian
restaurant, with a great Italian wine list
and freshly made Italian specialties such as
pastas and pizzas, open for breakfast, lunch
& dinner.
Sansei Seafood Restaurant & Sushi Bar and
d.k. Steakhouse are considered a double
concept restaurant, with Sansei offering
new-wave sushi and contemporary
Asian-Pacific cuisine and d.k Steakhouse
offering dry aged beef and classic
steakhouse cuisine. Both are extremely
popular with local residents and are open
for dinner nightly. To round out your
options, both towers are home to Seattle's
Best Coffee serving coffee drinks and
pastries, open all day and in the front
tower, Restaurant Run, a small noodle shop
and sushi bar, open all day.
The Waikiki Beach Marriott is ideally
located to take advantage of nearby
attractions such as the Honolulu Zoo,
Kapiolani Park, Waikiki Aquarium and, of
course, all the attractions of Waikiki and
the beach. There is a nightly lighting of
the torches along the beach, Hawaiian
entertainment and about every other week,
Movies on the Beach, which are free and held
on Saturday and Sunday evenings, with food
booths and entertainment.
This is a wonderful property, like almost
all Marriotts. Great service, lovely rooms,
many amenities and in the case of the
Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa, an
absolutely fantastic location. Sit on your
lanai sipping a drink and watch the waves as
they come to shore, feel the gentle trade
winds and perhaps even watch the moon rise
above Diamond Head - it's a memory that will
stay with you forever. |
