OVERVIEW |
|
| |
|
|
| |
While Diamond Head might cut the most
recognizable figure in the Oahu skyline, its
the three towering peaks of Olomana that
have captured the imaginations of
generations of adventurous hikers. The out
and back trail that links the trio of peaks
is a stout challenge that rewards skilled,
careful hikers with thrilling climbs and
descents and an amazing 360 degree view from
the first peak. Still, with its steep
accents; narrow, rocky pathways; and
windswept ridgeline, the complete 5 mile,
out and back trail presents as many perils
as any day hike on the island, and only
experienced hikers in strong physical
condition should venture past the first
peak......... |
